SUMMARY
It
is with great pleasure that we invite you to join your colleagues
to the upcoming J.A. Williams Associates, LLC’s Testifying
Skills for Expert Witnesses and Consultants. Our two-day
seminar will introduce you to this exciting career opportunity
and lead to Court Certification as an Expert Witness. This
course on Expert Witness and Consulting is offered for persons
with demonstrated expertise who desire to serve as experts
during litigation for trial attorneys serving both plaintiff
and defense clients. In a growing industry, the expert witness,
once court certified, receives compensation on an hourly
basis, usually between $200 and $600 dependant upon areas
of expertise. Class size is strictly limited. In this fast
moving, hands-on training program, trainees will have the
opportunity to participate in various learning objectives.
The program provides the knowledge on how to become an effective
and winning witness in court and effectively teaches how
to prepare for a rewarding career as an Expert Witness and
Consultant.
All
registrations include break refreshments
and lunch with the faculty. For attendees who enjoy a round
of golf, special arrangements for playing at the Pine Hill
Golf Club will be pre-arranged.

THE
PROGRAM
This
is the most exciting course on Expert Witnessing ever offered
in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware for persons
with demonstrated expertise who desire to serve as experts
during litigation for trial attorneys. Attendees could include
persons with expert doctrines in varied areas from Architecture
to Zoology!
In
this fast moving, hands-on training program, trainees will
have the opportunity to participate in various learning

PRESENTING
FACULTY
ATTORNEY FRANCES A. HARTMAN
Attorney
Hartman has been practicing law for twenty-one years. She
graduated cum laude from Widener Law School and admitted
to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars in 1984. She was
admitted into the Third Circuit Court of Appeals on October
11, 2001 and the Kansas bar in 1987.
Attorney
Hartman presents at numerous seminars throughout the State
of NJ. She lectures on trial practice, plaintiff's personal
injury and matrimonial issues. A member of the Burlington
County Bar, the NJ State Bar and the Association of Trial
Lawyers of America, she was formerly on the Board of Governors
in the State of New Jersey. Her primary area of practice
is in plaintiff's personal injury law, legal malpractice,
family law and civil rights. Attorney Hartman is an approved
member of the Fraternal Order of Police Legal Defense Plan,
the PBA Legal Defense Plan, and the State Troopers Association
and Noncommissioned Officers Legal Defense Plan. Attorney
Hartman will explain the requirements of Fed. R. Civ. P.
26 (a)(b) and how the court can strike the Expert designation
and prohibit the expert from testifying. She will discuss
the requirements of the “DAUBERT CHALLENGES”
and how compliance to Daubert doctrines affects the expert.

ANDREW ROSSETTI
Attorney
Rossetti is a former Assistant Prosecutor for the Camden
County Prosecutor's Office and now tries civil plaintiff
cases with the most of the trials involving complex product
liability, conduction site negligence and medical negligence.
Mr. Rossetti tried in excess of 50 complex jury trials to
conclusion.
He
is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America
where he served on the Board of Governors for many years.
He is also a member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Mr. Rossetti is Board Certified by both the New Jersey Supreme
Court and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has a
very active trial practice and has had many verdicts and
settlements in excess of one million dollars. He is most
proud of a 5.5 million dollar verdict following a five-week
trial against General Motors.
VINCENT
A. GALLAGHER
Vince
Gallagher has a master's degree from the Center for Safety
at New York University. He has performed 792 Safety Inspections
for OSHA. He has testified as an Expert Witness in federal
and many state courts over one hundred (100) times. Mr.
Gallagher has investigated more than a thousand (1000) injury
cases in the construction industry. He has consulted in
eight (8) countries for United Nations agencies, the World
Bank, large corporations and unions, and has done research
on many subjects in the field of Worker Safety. Mr. Gallagher
has lectured frequently at most area universities.
JAMES
A. WILLIAMS
James
Williams is a former Municipal Police Chief and a retired
USDOJ Chief Of Organized Crime Task Forces worldwide. Mr.
Williams has been admitted in Federal Courts as a Police
Expert in the specialties of Police Policy, Practices &
Procedures. He has met State and Federal Court Standards
of the Daubert Challenges. Mr. Williams is an Associate
Member of the American Bar Association serving on the Criminal
Justice Committee. He is a Adjunct Professor for Criminal
Justice studies at Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ and is
the Owner and Principal Consultant of J. A. Williams, LLC,
Forensic and International Consultants. Mr. Williams serves
as a presenter at the Annual Expert Witness & Consultant
Conference at Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
LINDA
G. MCGRATH
Linda
McGrath is the Past President of the USGA’s South
Jersey Golf Association, which serves eight southern New
Jersey counties including 60 private and public golf courses
and over 800 individual club members. Previously, Ms. McGrath
was a National Vice President of Sales and Marketing, a
commercial real estate leasing agent, college adjunct instructor
at Burlington County College and a Peace Corp/VISTA alumnus.
After retirement, Ms. McGrath became involved in golf course
management and marketing with American Golf and went on
to develop various marketing seminars including "How
to Use Golf as a Business Tool."
